28/01/2003 - Entry #64

Ahoy-hoy. How have you all been? Sorry to anyone who couldn't access the site on Saturday. As Crispy pointed out to me, the reason was a large-scale virussy wormy thing, which you can read about here if you're bothered. Seems to be done now, though.

My hits for this site bewilder me. Every now and then I'll look through them and find something ridiculous. Like, today, for example, I find a few hits from someone working at Allied Mills, "Britain's premier flour miller", according to their site. Bizarre. But the good news is that I'm a whopping number 8th when you search for "Muff" on lycos. Booyah! Flock to me, hilariously out-of-touch porn-seekers!

But yes, interestingly enough, the average visitor to my site apparently uses Internet Explorer 6 and Windows XP, is connected via Shawcable or Tiscali, and arrived from wee's guestbook at 7pm on a Monday. Intriguing. Perhaps I should save all my updates for 7pm on a Monday.

Anyway, you may or may not notice I've added Keepy Uppy to the random section over on the right there. What with all this talk of helicopter and curling mini-games, I decided to dig up my old Keepy Uppy game, and upload it. When I say "mine," though, I of course mean "not mine." It's from Footballaid.com, but don't bother going there, you won't find it. See, they produced a Keepy Uppy game years ago, which was great. Loads of people downloaded it and passed it around, and loved it. But then Footballaid.com decided to remake it with updated features and so on, and make you sign a end-user agreement license and so on. Which sucks. But anyway, I prefer the old one, which is the one I've uploaded. You CAN get another, more modern one from Footballaid.com, but it's shit. The ball starts getting smaller after every 25 kicks, and it looks all glossy and naff. Blatant second-album syndrome. It's heartbreaking. Anyway, yeah, download the better version from the link in the random section, and see how many you can get, then let me know. I think my record is around 174. I waste an inordinate amount of time playing it, clearly.

Favourite song of the moment is "Sell Me" by Frankenixon, which you can download here. I can't get enough of it. It's been on repeat for the last 12 hours and I still hum along to the verse and whine along to the chorus. Quality.

Shit! Leeds vs. Chelsea! Alright, uh, I'll update again tomorrow. Enjoy the song and the keepy uppy in the meantime.
